Most errors arise from one of two issues:
1. Private Videos - Videos must either be public or unlisted for our tool to generate timestamps. Double-check your video's visibility settings and try again. If you need timestamps for a private video, temporarily change its visibility to unlisted, use our tool to generate chapters, and then change the video's visibility back to private.
2. No Video Transcript - While YouTube automatically generates transcripts for most videos, they sometimes take a few minutes to process. If you just uploaded the video, try again in a few minutes. You may also want to double-check subtitles are enabled within your YouTube Studio.
While our product only supports YouTube, you can still generate timestamps for other platforms by uploading your video or audio file as an unlisted YouTube video. You can then generate timestamps as usual and paste them into the description on other platforms.
